![]() ![]() This is my first attempt at these booklets and I'm sure they will change and develop over time but they may be useful for teachers to use or adapt. As we cover (or revise) key language they use the traffic light system of coloured dots on each page to show me how confident they feel with the language on it. I have found it helpful, as I only see each class once a week, and they all have different amounts of prior learning, to put together a booklet that we can use together in class. I am using a mixture of materials written by one of the ASTs in our department, Leigh McClelland, together with some materials I am writing as I go along. This worksheet uses outlines of simple shapes and asks children to read the Spanish color to determine what color each shape should be. I am currently teaching Spanish to years 3, 4, 5 and 6 in one of our feeder primary schools.
